5 Steps to Make Money with Site Flipping

I just flipped my first 6 websites. It was a learning experience, but I’m happy to report that I made about $300. Now, I’m going to tell you how you can, too.

Before I even get to the quick list of 5 sets to make money online with site flipping, I must say, most of what I did to make this money was done via helpful information I discovered through many successful site flipper blogs and ebooks. I spent more time learning than I did “doing”. I strongly suggest you do as I say, and not as I do, lest you find yourself spending a week simply researching and finding out how OTHER PEOPLE are making money, all the while never doing anything to make money for yourself. In other words:

DO WORK! This isn’t a joke. There’s a enough free information out there to get you started with making some money online site flipping. However, you don’t have to read ALL of it to do it! I almost garuntee you that with what you read from my blog today, you will be able to immediately put it to work, and be on your way to making money.

Anyway, here’s the list:

1. SEO Domain - Research the keywords you’re going to build your site around BEFORE you even register the domain. Find a good long-tail (3 or 4 words) keyword that gets about about 300-400 searches a day (use http://tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook/). Use that keyword as your domain. Also, if the .COM is available for that keyword, that’s a huge plus. If not, go with a .NET or .ORG.

2. Stick wordpress on the site, put up a quality free theme (and edit the colors to make it more unique, if you’re comfortable with that sort of thing). Make the homepage link to a static page rather than a blog.

3. Write 3-5 Articles about 300-500 words each on the specific niche you built the website around. Create a page in wordpress for each article. There you have it! Your very own mini-site. Make sure it’s SEO-optimized by being keyword-rich. You can find good articles in google about keyword-optimization, but it’s really pretty self-explanatory. Make sure the one keyword you want to target appears anywhere from 2-3% of the time in your article. There are many free tools you can find with a google search and can calculate your keyword density for your keywords. This is a MUST COMPLETE step.

4. Monetize: Simple enough. Throw some AdSense on your site, and any other Ad Network you’d like to include. Join some CPA networks like NeverblueAds and MarketLeverage, and find some affiliate offers that relate to your niche and pay you on each conversion. Your revenue streams dictate how much you will sell your site for.

5. Submit to Social Bookmarking directories: I payed a guy to do this for me. He submitted my link to 100 social bookmarking sites for a measly $6. This almost instantly got my site indexed in google, and within a week I was seeing decent organic and unique traffic from search engines. Of course, you don’t have to pay someone to do this for you. Do it yourself by submitting your site to stumbleupon, digg, etc…

Obviously, there’s a lot more to site flipping. Don’t do these 5 steps and consider yourself done. During the flip, whether its a month long or a week long, keep working on it. Keep pushing traffic via social bookmarking submissions, article submissions, etc… Don’t ever stop getting traffic to your site. The more traffic that converts into revenue, the greater the lump sum will be for selling your site!

I will write more on the subject of site flipping for making money online in later posts. I apologize for my long absence and I hope this little post will be compensation for the time I was away.

Don’t Buy Google Nemesis

I just got settled in from a week-long vacation, and another week that consisted of dealing with a death in family, so this post has been a bit delayed.

I feel it is my duty to let all the people out there who are really looking to make money online know not to buy Google Nemesis. You’ve probably seen it heavily promoted all over the money making niche. It supposedly can help anyone make massive amounts of money like all of the affiliate marketing pros for a minimal fee of $67 a month. Don’t fall for it.

I’ve tested it, and I’ve already applied for my refund. It’s not worth it. Yes, it’s a membership site, but all it offers is recycled ideas that you can find if you take a few minutes and forum troll across the internet.

I’m not pitching any product to you here. A lot of marketers for Google Nemesis are also saying it’s crap, but that they’ll offer all of these other gems that are worth zilch at least $10,000 as long as you buy Google Nemesis through their affiliate link. Give me a break…

Nemesis is not worth your money. Search around your forums. Look at blogpremiere.com for helpful stuff on making money online. Don’t pay hard earned money every month for this stuff that you could easily find elsewhere, I beg of you.

Hey, here’s a great idea to make money… Come up with a pen name, write up an e-book with recycled ideas that everyone knows about and probably don’t work to make you money online, say you’ve earned $100,000,000,000,000 with the methods in that e-book, and other people have, too. Write up a couple fake testimonials about your rubbish product, and put it on clickbank. It’s what everyone else is doing, so it must be the cool thing to do.

I’m not saying that’s what “Chris X” did here, and I’m not pointing any fingers. But, all I’m saying, if you ask me, DO NOT buy Google Nemesis.

Video Marketing: Go or No?

Ah, good question, title. I had no idea you could ask such witty questions. Wha? Who’s that girl up there? ….. What was your question?

Oh, right. Sorry, title. My attention was quite conivingly ripped away from my control by means of a picture of an attractive female woman. Female woman? Hmm… Anyway. Who would have thought that could happen? Judging by the look on Vanessa Hudgins’ face, I’m guessing she had a feeling it could happen.

Attention getters. Why are those two words so important for any advertiser/publisher’s career? Without the attention of an audience, you don’t have a consumer. You don’t have a lead. Without a lead, you don’t have money.

If you haven’t already started with video marketing, you’re screwed you have plenty of time to act. I just got into it myself, and I’m starting to see the value of it.

With a video, you can grab your audience’s attention better. Lets say you’re promoting on a traffic exchange, right? People are just clicking through, their attention fading with the more they click. Then, a unique youtube video comes up on the exchange. As long as it isn’t annoyingly produced (bad sound, basically), your chances of getting a lead from a traffic exchange just increased! And hey, any free traffic is good traffic. I know I sort of bashed traffic exchanges in a previous post of mine, Making Money: 5 Ways To Quality Traffic. There are some use to them, after all. Maybe my argument was just a little too heated.

Anywho, you can find a video I recently made in my last post, Win Money. You kind of get the idea? You don’t even really need a video camera. Just a mic would do just fine, and both the Mac and Windows come with video editing software so you can make your own flicks. Windows = Windows Movie Maker. Mac = iMovie (correct me if I’m wrong).

Need to put a watermark on a video of yours? Search google. You’ll find plenty of answers. It’s actually quite easy to do in most video editors (yes, including Windows Movie Maker). By the way *hint hint*, watermarks are especially useful while grabbing and re-uploading a viral video ;). Do a google search on that, huh?

Go to a site called tubemogul.com. There, you can upload your video once, and it will automatically upload the same video to all of your accounts at several different video upload sites (youtube, metacafe, etc…). It’s so darn nifty. Do it!

Well, I know I may have rushed through this post. I’m in a hurry to get to bed. Leaving for vacation tomorrow afternoon. Ya’ll don’t give up on me, now. I’ll be back on the 14th.

“Win Moneeeeey”

Hey. That was a really, really long blogging hiatus. And when I mean long, I mean 3 days. I promised to update this as much as I possibly could. Now, I’m going to be honest with everyone here. Judging by the past few days, I’ve lied. I grew discouraged with my online pursuits, and started giving up all over again.

That’s when I decided to start making my own plans for making money online. That’s when I decided to start doing things my way. I started video blogging, kind of. You can check out my first video embedded here.

Warning: Must have a sense of humor. Warning: Yes, it’s a real poker site. And it’s pretty fantastic.

So, I’m back in the game. Azoogle called me this morning to review my application and eventually confirmed me as a publisher. I can’t wait to get started with them, since everyone raves about their quality.

That will be all for today’s post. Just one tip, though. When you start feeling like you should give up making money online, if that’s what you’re looking for, don’t. Start thinking creatively. Stop spending time on other people’s websites, trying to copy their knowledge and make money off of it. Chances are, they are just shopping their own affiliate products that aren’t worth crap.

If someone is making lucrative amounts of money on a “secret method” they developed, why would they want to share the secret method with other people. So they can have more competition, and that’ll be fun for them? I think not.

Make it your own. You’ll see.

I also started a web directory. Feel free to submit your website! Approval time is very fast, trust me. —>

It’s a date!

I’m up late, yet again, and guess what? I’m going to a ballgame tomorrow. 3rd row behind the catcher. I’m absolutely stoked, and I will probably be posting pictures up on here. I know it’ll be off-topic, but I can’t wait to be the closest to the game that I’ll probably ever be in my life time.

Tip: If you want to know whether or not your significant other’s parents like you, see if they buy you tickets to a game right behind the catcher, $40 for concessions, valet parking, an autographed baseball, and various other goodies as a gift. Yeah… It’s that good.

New Battlegrounds And… Balloons!

Finally. A new, nicer-looking theme for my blog. At least to me. Don’t you all think?

Balloons! Check out the bottom left-hand corner of your screen. See that little orange creature? Click on him and give me a bump, please and thank you! ;) I just ran across that website which is hosting the first ever internet balloon race. It’s super-psychedelic, right?

I’m looking into ways on how to get started with monetizing this blog. I’ll keep ya’ll updated with that.

Sorry for the short post. Just felt like updating everyone before I went off to bed for the night. I feel like I owe a bit of catching up since I’ve been out for a few days.

Now, as I leave, a few words of wisdom…

Making Money Online is a SCAM!

Do I have your attention? Good. Because I’m kidding. Of course you can make money online. You can make thousands, millions of dollars even. But the painful thing about making money online is that it can refer to the measly couple bucks people make, too.

This has been bugging me for some time, so I’m just going to let it fly. This is a blog, after all.

PTC Programs. What’s the point? Sure, you can make money with them. You ask me now? Making 1 or 2 cents every 30 seconds isn’t exactly a worthwhile chunk of change. Yes, a penny saved is a penny earned. A penny saved is also a really sad amount of money. Do the math… Lets see… 1 cent every 30 seconds… that adds up to $1.20 hour. That’s about one-fifth of minimum wage. Whoa! High rollers…

OK OK OK… So, you say you can go out and sign up with multiple Paid to Click websites, so you can have 10 going at one time, which makes your hourly earnings $12.00. Not so much… What PTC out there do you know of that I don’t that gives its users enough ads per day to equal that kind of money? Sure, you’re going at a rate of $1.20/hr per site, but that’s the equivalent of clicking 120 ads in one hour, PER SITE. Show me a guy that can do that on ONE website, then I’ll be impressed.

Catch my drift yet? OK OK OK… You say get you some referrals. Get you some! Then what, hope they click for all your happy years to come? Chances are you’re going to refer people just like you that are going to be burnt out on clicking their own ads after a good week or two, and give up.

It sounds like so little work to earn money with PTC programs. But, really, the only way it happens is when a guy gets lucky recruiting members who are just like him… people who are crazy enough to devote all of their time in energy to get other people to click the ads with them. When that happens, then people miraculously get paid pretty good sums.

BUT WAIT. There’s more. You see, PTC programs are just ever so bogged down with their workload, so they tell you you have to wait days, weeks, months (in the case of bux.to) for your “hard-earned” money. A lot of companies hope you forget about your payment, which, surprisingly, a lot of people do. Others simply close their website within that time, just to put in extra dagger in your heart.

Must be a hard life… being a PTC owner and all…

Look, I know there are honest PTC’s out there, and I’m sure they’re run by great individuals with a fantastic user base.

But count me out. There are other ways to make a penny every 30 seconds… Take a quick glance at the pavement when you walk into gas stations/grocery stores… Loose change galore. And guess what? You don’t have to refer anyone OR pay for any upgrades to be payed out INSTANTLY! Sign up today at www.gooutside.coooommmooonnnnnn!!! Sigh…

A Sad Day - George Carlin

I was on a blogging hiatus these past few days as I was out of town. While I was out, I heard the sad news that George Carlin, a famous comedian who was primarily known for his crude humor, had passed away. This initially brought me little emotion. But, then, I thought back to all George Carlin had been to the world.

Sure, he was vulgar. Some people didn’t like that, and didn’t like him as a person for that. But, really, who are we to judge? There was one incident where he was doing one of his routines uncensored in front of an audience that had children in it. OK… seriously… What parent in their right mind would take a child to a George Carlin act? Yeah, they had no right to complain about his language. He’s not going to change just because a few parents decided they would buy a ticket for their kid.

His frank kind of comedy is what got him so far. And he was a brilliant man. Absolutely brilliant. He was perceived as an extreme, outspoken liberal who went off the deep-end one two many times. And, I guess he was - kind of. There was one routine… a live, recorded routine that stuck out to me most. Carlin was talking about environmentalists. And before everyone “goes green” on my butt, bare with me…

He said the world has been through worse than us. Think about it. The world (earth) has been around for billions of years. We, the heavy industrialized society, have been around for 200 of those billions of years. Anything we’re doing now is relative to sprinkles on the icing of a cake. He said the human race is so self-important that we think we have to go save every species on the planet. The bees, the whales, the beef. Yet 90% of all the species that have ever existed throughout the billions of years the earth has been around are gone. We didn’t kill them. Ha, no. They just became extinct on their own. That’s the world. It has nothing to do with human beings. We’re a race of beings just like any other species that’s been on this earth. So, why are we thinking it’s our duty to “save” anything?

This is the liberal media. These guys are the ones telling you that global warming is going to kill us all because we’ve been so inconsiderate by using plastic bags and soda cans. Carlin referred to this is arrogance. The arrogance of the left winged liberals. Yes, go look it up. I’m not lying. He said that.

The liberal media. The ones telling us all of the continents are going to be submerged underwater sooner or later, and that will show us that we’ve been bad people all these years. Their reasoning? Water vapor levels are high. Water vapor. I won’t even explain that to you. Just give it a moment to think about it, and don’t just listen to what the liberal media tells you. It’s garbage. It’s mindless. And that’s what they think you (the world) are. Mindless. Prove them wrong.

George Carlin was a great individual. He stood up for what he believed in through his personality. Some people didn’t accept him for that. I would just recommend that if you want a good laugh, go look this comedy routine that I’ve referred to up, and take a listen.

What’s a Happenin?

I’m working on finding a new theme for the blog. I’m not really fond of this one. Initially, I thought the colors were fitting for a “money making” type of blog. Green. But, for some reason, when I put things in my blogs other than text, it likes to mess with my head. You see, I’ll position pictures just right in my blogs to where I want them, with all the breaks and all the centering. What’s the preview say? The joke’s on me.

When I try different themes that I like, the image problem is resolved. However, those themes seem a little faulty and difficult to edit. I’m not a big coder kind of guy. I can handle small stuff. But I’m not exactly willing to sit down for hours and work on editing code to show a silly picture. Just being honest…

I’m changing the direction of this blog, by the way. Yeah, I’ll inform everyone on how my various money-making pursuits are coming along. But as far as pushing a whole bunch of companies that are probably just going to fail in the long run to ya’ll so I can make a few extra bucks…Yeah, I have too much of a consience to do that. I may push some programs to ya’ll, but they’re only going to be the honest, most stable companies that have a proven track record.

I’m planning on blogging about whatever I feel I need to say. I may promote a few things. I’m definitely going to provide tips as much as I come to find out about. And I will definitely find my own little rants and rambles (see the “Godzilla has a tumor” post).

I know I’m picking up a few readers here. Thank you for your comments on my last blog. It’s encouraging to know that people are out there, not just clicking through my blog.
